The Assembly Rooms in Derby is located on Derby market place and is the city's largest theatre and music venue. Is now part of the Derby LIVE scheme alongside the Guildhall Theatre and the new Derby Theatre.
The Assembly Rooms host a wide range of events throughout the year with everything from comedy, theatre, shows to the Christmas pantomine and the University of Derby graduation ceremony every January.
As a group we have seen many shows and acts at the Assmebly rooms including Cirque de Glace, the Sugar Babes and many more.

I've been to The Assembly Rooms many times to see comedy shows and music acts and it's a great venue. From what I remember the car parking price was more than other places in Derby, but I've haven't used their car park for some time now, so it may have changed. It's a good sized venue, but intimate enough to still feel close to the performance.
