About this Event
This year for the Autumn weekend away we have chosen the Putson Manor in Hereford. Hereford is an ancient city on the banks of the River Wye and is the commercial and artistic heart of the county.
It is a harmonious city and one that has successfully incorporated its rich heritage into the bustle of day-to-day life. Don`t be surprised to find historic buildings housing modern shops and modern buildings holding historic treasures (such as the priceless Mappa Mundi, a 13th-century cartographer`s interpretation of the world).
Things to see and do during the weekend in Hereford city
- Shopping in the Maylords shopping centre
- Mappa Mundi and chained library exhibition
- Hereford Cathedral
- Cider museum and King Offa distillery
- The Old House Museum
- City heritage walk

- Double room - £75

We've just got back from the Ladies Night Out Club weekend away to Hereford. It was a fabulous weekend and my only wish is that it could have lasted longer!
Putson Manor - the listed manor house that we stayed in was perfect for our needs. Full of interesting and original rooms, large kitchen and two lounges complete with log fires!
The location of the accommodation was perfect - only about 15mins walk into Hereford City Centre. I arrived quite late on the Friday and the girls had already made a fire and were having a relaxing glass of wine. So Friday night was spent chilling out and chatting. On Saturday some of the group went to an owl/animal sanctury just out of the city (which was fab by all accounts). I went with another group into Hereford to explore. We went to Hereford Cathedral, which was magnificant with its stunning stain glass windows, chapels and inturned statues. We then explored Hereford's lovely little boutiques and craft shops before hitting more high street shops. Needless to say there were lots of chances for stops at a few coffee shops during our day. Saturday evening we all went to a authenic family run italian restaurant and had a mouth watering three courses and lovely selection of wine, before returning to our house and the log fire for more relaxing. Sunday morning came too soon and I was sad to have to go as I was having such a great time. I'd like to say thanks to all the members who went for making it such a lovely weekend. I really enjoyed it!!! Roll on the next one! xx Rachael

Really enjoyed the weekend - the house was absolutely amazing - wonderful original feaures, log fires and most importantly a comfy bed. It was fun to spend time with everyone and I really liked Hereford. Buzzed off to the in laws at the end of the trip as they live just 25 mins away. Looking forward to next years trip - which I personally hope will be Yorkshire.
