About this Event
The Fiddler on the Roof is one of those films that gets shown every year on television and everytime I think about it I think of the famous song 'If I were a rich man ....'.
The play centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his family and religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives. He must cope with both the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters each one's choice of husband moves further away from the customs of her faith and with the edict of the Tsar that evicts the Jews from their village.
Whether you know Fiddler on the Roof or not it is a moving story and a good one to see for those that are not big musical fans.

Have been to a lot of shows in London and Colchester but this show has supassed any I have seen before. From the curtain up on the first act I was mesmerised and had a grin on my face the whole way through. The cast were simply amazing and brought so much energy to the stage. Being at the front helped with the total emersion of the production. The lead actor was the spit of the original actor and it was like being 10 again and falling in love with the film all over again.
Totally amazing
