What a great way to spend a bank holiday Saturday with the girls. On this day trip to Birmingham you can either hit the shops or visit the Sea Life Centre where we can get 2 tickets for the price of 1.

Shopping in the Bull Ring has plenty to offer with all of the favourite high street stores including  Selfridges it will keep you busy for hours. But if shopping isn't you thing the have some fun at the spectacular Sea Life Centre. With over 60 displays, from the touch pool to the one million-litre ocean tunnel, you'll encounter everything from starfish to seahorses, sharks and rays. The largest residents are two enormous giant sea turtles - Molokai and Gulliver. We are also getting 2 for 1 entry into the Sea Life Centre.

Additional Costs: Cost of your train ticket and £8.75 for a ticket to the Sea Life Centre

Meeting Point: People leaving from Derby, Nottingham or Leicester meet their event host at the train station at 9am. We will all be meeting as a group at 10.30am at Birmingham New Street station.

What a fabulous day out!!! The Sealife centre in Birmingham is absolutely fabulous - The turtles, the otters and the seahorses are definately my favourites, followed very closely by the 4D cinema experience! I could have spent all day in the tunnel under the tank just watching the sharks, turtles and fish swim by....but lunch was calling!
We had lunch in the Homemade Burger restaurant by the canal and the burgers were amazing!!!!! Definately what the doctor ordered!
Lunch was followed by a small amount of shopping in the Bullring...yeah right!!!! All in all a fabulous day out with some great people - thank you Sam, Tara and Liesl for a fabulous day and looking forward to the next one............I promise to wear better shoes!!!!!!!
