About this Event
Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable.
Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved.
Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime.
But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

I was quite looking forward to seeing Inception but, due to the kids being on their summer holls and also it being Orange Wednesday, the tickets were already sold out when we got there. Fortunately, Victoria had the great idea of going to the Quad to see what was on there instead. We chose to see Gainsbourg, a biopic of the famous (well, famous in France) French singer, Serge Gainsbourg. And I was actually quite glad that we missed Inception! The film, which was two hours long, seemed to fly past. It was very arty: there was the frequent appearance of "La Gueule" (translation: ugly mug, as in the face), a tall spirit with a huge papier macher head which was supposed to be his conscience or the devil on his shoulder; it was a good way of representing it but also quite freaky at times. The film showed many interesting aspects of the singer's life that I was unaware of and, still, I can't understand why women were so drawn to him because, despite his talent, he looked like a dirty old man since he was 12.
It was a good night allround and it was really nice to meet Victoria and Rachel.
