Busy week for LNOC team

This week has been very busy for the LNOC team. Sam and I were at the New Members Night on Wednesday and met a lot of potential new members in Number Five Bar on George Street in Derby city. It was a good location for the event and the 2 for 1 cocktails were quite a treat as well.
If you haven’t been to the bar before it is definitely worth a visit as it has a slightly more sophisticated atmosphere than some of the other bars in Derby and they have live music on a few nights a week.
It was an enjoyable evening and some of the girls going to Center Parcs were swapping ideas on the activities they wanted to do for the weekend. I did hear the girls mention archery, falconry, cross bows and more relaxing activities such as a session in the spa, yoga and tai chi. It seems that they have been inspired by each other this year and are perhaps trying something they always wanted to do but never had the chance.
If you could do with a fun and relaxing long weekend away from it all there is one space left. You can book your place on the Center Parcs events page or find out more about the weekend by contacting Tara via the contact us form.
Thursday night I went over to Nottingham to a hidden gem, a restaurant called Eviva. This family run Greek restaurant was very authentic and as soon as I walked in it was like stepping into a taverna in Greece.
It was so nice and really reminded me of all the holidays that I have had in the past and with the lovely weather we having at the moment it definitely felt appropriate. We all opted to have the mezze (the greek equivalent of tapas) and I was absolutely stuffed afterwards and for £12 we had starters, main dishes and fruit for dessert. I couldn’t believe how reasonable the priced this was and I will definitely be going back.
So I am off out this weekend to start my hunt for a wedding dress and will be taking my mum and some of my closest friends along. I am hoping that this will be as good an experience as I have been told.
We are popping into Stately Brides in Belper to start the day as they are celebrating their one year anniversary with an open day and as the bride I get a free goody bag. We are then paying a visit to Beau Belles in Borrowash as I have heard some very good things about that shop. On Sunday there is a massive food fair taking place at Kedleston Hall.
So as the weather is due to be scorching this weekend this would be an ideal place to go have some great locally produced food and sit outside in the sunshine. Whatever you are up to have a great weekend.
