The Ladies Night Out Club came to life in July 2007 with the aim of making it easier for women to socialise whilst removing the hassles of trying to organise a night out.

What made you start the club?
While I was thinking about setting up the club I met a lot of women who told me that they had often found it difficult to make new friends. This situation can happen when you move to a new area, or friends get married or have a family and don't want to socialise as much.
However there are also many members who have large circles of friends that come along and enjoy the opportunity to try something new and different from what they'd regularly do.
Fundamentally I wanted to make a difference and provide an opportunity for women to get together and enjoy themselves.
What plans do you have for the future of the club?
I want to be able to offer members a discount scheme and possibly to expand the areas that the club operates. I would also like to offer more events for the members so suggestions are always welcome.
What do you do outside the club?
I enjoy working full-time as an Online Marketing Specialist but also find the time to go out to the cinema, read, ride my bike and go on long walks near my home in Kilburn, oh and spend time with my fantastic boyfriend.

How did you and Tara meet?
I first met Tara about five years ago. We were the only two women on an IT course and we just naturally hit it off and became instant best friends. Over the following years we've worked together on numerous smaller projects before deciding in 2007 to bring Tara's dream project to life... and that is how the Ladies Night Out Club was born!
What plans do you have for the future of the club?
Looking back over the Ladies Night Out Club's first year both Tara and I are amazed at how fast we've grown. At times the website has struggled to keep up with the plans that Tara has. She has some great ideas on taking the club forward; I can't wait to build them into the website and help improve the website experience for our users!
What do you do outside the club?
To be honest I'm a bit of a geek so I can usually be found either with my head stuck in a computer book, designing in Photoshop or maybe playing on the PS3 with my boyfriend.

Carolyn recently moved to the Midlands area and was stuck with where to start finding a new social circle.
She discovered the club whilst searching on Google and quickly became a member. Since then she has played an active part in the club and even though she lives in Nottingham has been along to a variety of events in Derby.
Carolyn is a fantastic member, very friendly and makes people feel at ease at any of the events she has attended. This is why she is the hostess for the events in Nottingham!
